29.6.12 Collective haul: M)phosis, John Little, Kiddy Palace, Watsons

Recently I posted a video, actually just few hours ago during around 12 midnight Singapore time. If you were on when the video is just not long uploaded, you would have know that I wrote "Check back the next day, I'm going to bed now and I'll be out tomorrow so I'll get the blog post up by tomorrow night, thanks for your patience x" in the description box because I said in the video to come to my blog for close up shots and swatches! And I'm actually awake now at 6 in the morning to specially get this post out so you lovelies won't have to wait so long hehe. So okay, to the video first!!

28.6.12 Beauty: Stye

What's a stye you might ask. So what's a stye?!
This is a stye. Click on "read more" to get more informations about styes!
(I resized the pictures into the smallest size so don't worry,
it won't scare you like all the other scare me while I was looking for a less scary looking picture)

27.6.12 Day out

Literally, day out.
Once in a blue moon because I only manage to step out of the house at 6pm-ish all the time.
And I actually reach the area near town at 1 freaking 30 pm in the early afternoon!
Honestly it is a pretty damn big achievement.

7.6.12 BellaBox | June 2012 (Summer Upgrade)

June's bellabox arrived kinda early this month and they surprised me with a good amount of stuff!
Starting from the top left, to bottom left, jumping to most right. Lastly would be the one in the center.

1. Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate - This multi-award winning, 99.8% naturally derived botanical elixir was formulated to biologically replicate kin's natural lipids for optimal skin repair during the night, waking up to healthier and younger-looking skin.

2. Lancôme Génifique Youth Activator - First Lancôme skincare that revives genes' activity and stimulates the production of youth proteins. It is now clinically proven that the more you use Génifique, the better the results. Takes 7 days to see the results.

3. Lancôme Blanc Expert Derm-crystal - Empowered with Dermactyl complex, dermal cells are stimulated to produce bright new collagen, preventing darkening and reducing melanin production. Skill will be more translucent, luminous and brighter from within.

4. Biotherm Lait Corporel Body Moisturizer - Achieve soft, supple skin with high quality ingredients that prevent dryness and hydrate your skin. Glycerin, olive oil, vitamin E and Pure Thermal Plankton combine for outstanding results.

5. Biotherm White D-Tox BB Cream - 24 hour coverage, unified skin tone, maintains hydration all day long and lets the natural pink undertones of skin shin. With repeated use, dark spots fade and skin simply radiates. Suitable for all skin tones. Bio essence BB cream let me down, definitely going to give this one a try though this smell isn't as nice but it's not as strong as bio essence's.

6. Ralph Lauren Romance - A timeless interpretation of the classic love story; romance embodies the pure and refined feelings of a woman in love. It really smells as described.

7. Shu Uemura White Efficient Gentle Cleansing Oil - Contains natural mito-white complex and vitamin C to help prevent the accumulation of melanin deep within.

8. Kiehl's Calendula Herbal-extract Toner - Made with real Marigold whole flowers and still to this day, hand-picked and placed in each bottle by hand, the Calendula toner remains a customer favorite 5 decades since it was first formulated.

As I said, I'm not a fan of skincare stuff but since BellaBox keep sending me god damn skincare stuff, I guess I got to start using them before they all expire. Have you sign up for BellaBox yet? :)

4.6.12 Anorexia? No.

Why are you so skinny?
You are too skinny it's not healthy!
EAT MORE MICHELLE!!
I know dearies, I eat 10x more than people with anorexic would normally do. I am NOT anorexic. I have high metabolism. A high metabolism means that the body is burning calories at a greater rate than average. People with high metabolisms can generally eat more food without gaining additional weight which can sometimes be seen as a perk. I am standing 5 ft tall weighing 33kg which is only about 73 lbs.

Why do I only feel bones? Where are my meat? Where are my boobs?
Sometimes I really feel hideous being so skinny with like just bones and skin to cover up. I absolutely hated it. I eat sweet stuff (cheese, cheesecakes, cookies, donuts, cupcakes) and fastfood (KFC, McD, Pizza Hut, Swensens) almost everyday, calling McDonald's delivery for supper. I love to drink milk, milo and can eat 3 McD ice cream cone a day but I hardly gain ANY weight.

Many people around me say "omg you're so lucky to not being able to gain any weight" but no... people like me can't really pull off the sexy beach girls kinda look because we are made out of 90% bones and only the 10% is meat which is hardly visible to the public. It's not even easy to maintain our already too skinny weight. We have to eat like hundred buffalos to gain like 0.5kg. It's either you eat more or you keep on getting skinnier. So I'm always SUPER happy knowing that I've gain a little weight, be it if it's only 1kg, I'd still jump around and tell everyone how happy I am to finally gain some weight but most people think I'm showing off of not being able to gain weight THAT easily.

"Are you anorexic?" "You need to put some weight on" "I wish I could give you some of my fats" "Why are you so boney?" "You need to spend more money on food than makeup or branded bags" "Did you spend all your money on makeup/branded stuffs?" "Why are you so skinny?!" "I'm afraid I'll break you!" "Are you... okay?"

I still get those questions from strangers, especially neighborhood aunties who think they are so cool with their tie-dye t-shirt matching their baggy 3 quater shorts and branded purse going to the market lol. I get asked by my school mates too, when we just started talking. It can get really annoying when people assume that I am anorexic straight away upon seeing me in person. It's still funny that people make that kind of assumptions because I have a visible "model" butt (no I'm kidding, just visible) and my legs aren't as skinny as a stick I would say. Again.. people think it's okay to ask such questions. I mean, would you say these things to someone who was noticeably larger than the average person?

"Are you obese?" "You need to lose weight" "Why are you so fat?" "You need to spend more money on makeup or branded bags than food" "Did you not have any other stuff than food at home?" "You need to get some meat off those bones" "I wish I could give you some of my determination to starve yourself" "Are you okay?"

Those words are harsh, aren't they? Nobody would ever say that to them. It is actually the same feeling we get when people ask us those questions that doesn't seem/mean to be hurtful/harsh/offensive.

You see, there's a huge bunch of pretty skinny women and pretty fat/obese women. People will automatically shut up and refrain themselves from asking fat people weird questions. It's okay to call someone skinny in the manner where you think that person is skinny for no good, where you think we starve or force ourselves to vomit to look skinny? Judging someone by their size is just unacceptable.
Because sometimes it wasn't our choice to be like this.

So people who are not satisfied with your bodies, deal with what you have and rock the skinniness/fatness/obesity!
